Default Brake Lights on w/ lights?

Got a strange one with my '04 GT3. The brake light work fine with the headlight off. But when I turn the headlights on, the brake light also go on and stay on.

Tempted to remove the light switch and spray it with electrical contact cleaner. If that doesn't fix the problem, then replace the switch.

But.... before I do anything, thought I'd ask if anyone has experienced this. Thanks

I have had this with some cars. Try reseating bulbs, including brake and headlights and make sure no corrosion.

Removed taillight housings, check bulbs and cleaned sockets. Cleaned headlight switch w/ electrical contract cleaner and replaced brake light switch - problem resolved. Thanks

While everything worked after do the above, the switch itself felt a bit wonky, so I also replaced the switch itself.

"While you're in there, you might as well also..." ;>)
