Default Wheel Fitment

Considering a wheel upgrade for my 1999 coupe. Looking for some input on how big I can go without causing too many problems. I found a set on ebay ... Front: 19 x 8, rear: 19 x 11, offset for front is 51, rear is 52 with a 5 x 130mm bolt pattern.

The seller is "directwheels4less."

Any input about the fitment and/or seller would be appreciated.

Check out Apex wheels.... Great fit and OEM like quality / fit. I do have a set on my 997, defiantly worth the money.

Rear fit maybe very aggressive for NB 996

Other cool choices for lightweight wheels are Advan, Volk and Wedssport

As mentioned, we have engineered wheels specifically for the 996 chassis with optimum widths and offsets.

19" wheels can certainly be used if that is the desired look you are going for, but we recommend an 18" diameter for the 996 chassis. Not only are 18" wheels lighter and perform better, we believe they suit the 996 chassis best. 996s have a pretty short rolling diameter, and 19" tire configurations can get a little tricky.

Here is a link to our 996 Narrowbody Carrera Wheel & Tire Fitment Guide: LINK

Assuming this is for street use, the two configurations I would recommend are:

18"
F: 18x8.5" ET50
R: 18x11" ET60

19"
F: 19x9" ET50
R: 19x11" ET60
