Agree, after all the effort and money I smell big regrets if sold.

Get the Porsche Classic radio for it. Michelin PS4S tires, Upgrade your headlight bulbs to the newest Phillips or Osram variants and also restore you headlight lenses to take away the yellowing. I would keep it and see if it rises even more in value.

Plenty of cars have been going off on BaT without an IMS bearing changed and have sold just fine. I doubt in this current market its going to hurt that much.

And I should have just switched out the garbage hi-fi system for a Bose setup. At this point the epic after market system is has may not be “tasteful” but it sounds too good/would be too much of a pain to swap

it was changed at 75k and it’s a dual row.

that being said the clutch probably has 20k left in it so if I keep it I’ll just swap in a new retrofit then.

But what would you replace it with, and how much would THAT cost?
This is pretty much the state of the world these days. All assets have gone up in value so even if you sell.... whatever you want to buy next is also on the up, be it cars, watches, etc..

That's super cool, I'd keep unless you really need to sell. With 996 values coming into their own I think the ME will see a bump in values and interest. I was in my mid-teens during the millennium and remember all the hype well, that nostalgia is what drew me into buying mine, and there will be plenty more wanting to relive their youth. My door pocket lids are pretty roached out and need the craft customs treatment, I thought about those carbon fiber lid pockets as a modern touch but nah original is always best. Your seats must be replacements because I don't believe the ME ever had sport seats, same with the steering wheel, should also have the maple trim, but that's nitpicking! Great post and thanks for sharing!

thanks brother! Yeah I should have just had the wood wheel restored but there’s something to be said to an all natural leather wheel and the grip pines. I got that mint NL wheel for like $400. I’ll stick with it.

I mentioned sourcing the seats from rennlister 911AL who is/was a hardcore 996 turbo guy. They came out of a 996TT with like 40k miles on it. There might be a millennium with sport seats out there but I doubt they’re color matched. The paint is mint btw, I put about ~$3200 into that upgrade alone.

I'd sell it unless you're REALLY attached to it. Values are up and there are a lot of other cars out there in the world to own.
