Thanks! I agree, the Aerokit looks right at home in black. I didn't specifically set out to look for a black car but this one came along with the options I wanted..so now I get the added task of keeping a black car looking clean. What was that saying...black cars look better in the shade??

As awesome as the day is long. Congrats.

Nice dude - in my alternate universe - I live in BC, FJ DD and drive to powder shredding spots, beater EVO RS for logging roads and snow hooning and my 996 making 400+WHP for stupid fast road and track use.

A guy can dream, right ?

LOL! Awesome alternate universe right there! I have shredded so much BC powder in my years (on ski's, board's...and sleds) that my knees are now basically wrecked...hence the new sport of partaking in hot springs soaking!

4Runner and 911 is a primo/practical/awesome 2 car stable, but I might be biased. My 1st 4Runner was a 95 SR5.

The challenge of a hot springs soaking match, me VS. 2-4 women...exhilarating.

MVP from each team gets a ride back to the abode, in a PORSCHE no less

Current combo is a little different than the Gen 2 days. Overdue to update my thread since the 996 is an all new beast since this pic. And seeing more slick top pics is not helping with pressure on the pocket book...

I remember taking my family for a vacation in Nashville a few years ago and noticing a nice Mk1 red aero 996 at a small dealership on the far end of town wondering who would get such a fine car.

Originally a German market car, it made its way to Japan for a pampered life and finally on to me here in Vancouver, BC. I already see bits of foam in the air vents, and I have a few other known items to address, but overall the car looks, feels, and smells like new with barely 60K Kilometers (40K miles) on the odometer.

I am looking forward to diving in as I am no stranger to Porsche's (15+ years of ownership), or my own mechanical repairs. I have already found this board to be a wealth of information and look forward to learning all I can about this model. Here are a few pictures after the first wash to remove 8 weeks worth of transportation grime.

Stunner! Well done
