Rear decklid should have a Made In France stamping on the inside. The only thing that stands out is the black lip spoiler (on the lower fin of the rear spoiler) on the bottom as I thought they were all color matched (unless they wrapped or painted it). Front bumper and skirts appear correct, they should have 996 part numbers stamped but may need to remove to confirm.

This will only note if the kit was factory/assembly line installed. Sometimes kits were installed at the dealer after the fact, while still using genuine parts. He will need to check for the stamping under the rear decklid, and then inside the front bumper for the corresponding part number. I'd imagine there's a part number on the skirts but I've never been underneath to look, the way they're mounted I'd guess they need to be taken off.

Well if u open the frunk and the intake tube is on the right side and it has a mezger motor in it its probably a real gt3 kit.
If its a standard c2 with a m96 motor and the intake on the drivers side then the kit is actually a Areokit 2. There are actually differences between the 2 that u cant tell from the outside. Also the gt3 wung us about $14k and the Areokit wing is about $7k from porsche. I have both at my house right now.
Areokit 2 wing, dont have the gt3 pics in my phone.

IIRC, the Gurney flap will be black on GT3s, but color matched on Aerokit.
If that is in fact a GT3, check the VIN.
If it is an Aerokit, check the sticker under the hood.
Could also be dealer installed, or even owner installed. (I did mine, but it is mixed Genuine/aftermarket)

The Gurney flap could also be black if it is a dealer install package or purchased by an owner and installed. Porsche shipped the Gurney flap in black as part of the Aerokit install package, the dealer &/or individual would decide whether or not they wanted to paint it to match.

The wheels are correct for a 996.1 (European only) GT3, if the fronts are 18x8 inch with 18x10 rears. Those Sport Design wheels came in different sizes. The fronts are often found as 18x7.5. They were also 18x7 and 18x9 for the Boxster, as I recall. The 996.2 GT3, which was now available in the US, had different wheels. I have a set of both wheels. I need to roll my rear fenders to fit the 11 inch 996.2 GT3 rear wheels on my very early build 1999 model. Interestingly, my coupe has rolled front fenders, but the rears are not.

It’s black.
I never got around to installing it.
