I did not notice a difference from the stock mounts. My stock mounts were still fine, in decent shape. It was a pro-active change to go with the transaxle mount insert. Stiffer at both ends.
What I DID notice...after having the transaxle down to do IMS/RMS/AOS - about 2 months later, I had buzzing thru the shifter area. Put car on lift, started dropping the underpanels, found a large nut. It was one of the nuts on the transaxle crossmount. The other one was loose as well. Re-installed both with blue loctite, no issues since.
Engine mounts tend to die due to miles or years? I'm wondering if my '03 C2 w/ 57K miles needs them...
Both, the rubber expands and contracts under various temperature conditions whether operational (moving) or not. Likely to last quite a while longer in a climate controlled garage, but it seems a pretty small cost maintenance wise to not change when it seems fitting.
FWIW mine has 35k miles and will be changed in the next couple weeks after noticing some slight sagging on the tails.

That’s where I’m at for miles with my 03. I could see the difference between the originals and the new Rein ones I put in. Looked like the before and after photos everyone else has posted.

Notice any difference other than where the exhaust tips sit? Because as far as I know, mine are not sagging...
Sagging tailpipes and/or excessive vibration at idle tend to be signs. Some people notice their passenger seat shaking while sitting at idle. 18 years/57k miles, if you don't need them now you will soon. One and done for the rest of the car's days.
I have a new pair of RSS semi-solid mounts I may part with (pm me if interested). My OEM mounts are only a year old so I'm on the fence about installing these.
My tailpipes were hanging a little. Not as dramatically as many of the pictures. What mine would do was create a vibration in the rear immediately after high load acceleration. The vibration would dissipate in some seconds. After changing the mounts, this went away. Something with the alignment of the engine and driveshafts or something.
