Aftermarket TMPS
Kind of don't like that it opens schrader valve and relies on the cap to keep air in. Anyone have any experience with these?!
Correction aftermarket TPMS, duh

But through the years as people have learned about "tire pressures" lol ..and TPMS/people in general it has gotten a lot less irritating and I have seen the benefits of the system.. It really is a great safety feature.keeping from having blowouts at high speed due to low air pressure that can happen overnight, or even on a road trip.
And for tightwads who will run plugs in used tires, it will save hundreds of dollars in keeping from ruining the used tire when a nail punches in and causes a " leak"....
ITM is a German based company who makes many TPMS products, from OEM replacement type pre-programmed or programmable Sensors, and Aftermarket Systems in Bluetooth and WIFI, 315mhz and 433mhz, with several types display from Phone apps, to GPS Displays, rear view mirror displays, cigarette lighter displays, HUD displays, ect..
The ITM stuff is also sold under WURTH brand (German), and The Wheel Group, CUB Products, and others and is good quality stuff.
Bluetooth Sensor types can also be displayed on an Android head unit, which would be cool.
I have the Tire-insight retro kit that uses OEM type internal sensors with Aluminum tire valve stems, and a GPS display monitor used on Sally (99 C2 Coupe)
I have the ITM Bluetooth "external "Senors that uses the Phone App display for Sarah (99 C2 Cab). They are a bit heavy hanging on the end of the valve stem, they weigh, .35oz each, so metal valve stems are needed and re-balancing is also needed..
So to wrap it up, I really like TPMS that shows actual pressures !!! ! I'm also old and cranky and lazyer and don't want to check tire pressures..

My valves are very shallow. So I picked up a set of aluminum valve extensions. I thought I’d be smart and leave them on to help check pressures in the future. They were so small and light, I thought - no problem! But I immediately noticed vibration from the extensions. Took them off and problem solved. I guess they will be useful when checking pressure, but don’t leave them on!

The Best Porsche Posts for Porsche Enthusiasts
There are many of the TPMS kits that have been sitting on the shelf for many years and the sensor batteries are dead or are fixing to be. And buying the correct replacement Sensors can be quite difficult since places like ITM makes a large variety of sensors for all manufactures and they use different protocols. I have seen the $600 kits selling for $30, so you know the batteries are dead...lol
The ITM kit and the Tyre-Insite kit are the same kit, different name.
At this time I would recommend you buy the Schrader Retro-kit #SCHRFK45 or #9053 , they are a reputable company who have been in business as long as I can remember, who also list the correct replacement Sensor # 29015, but please check the date code on the Sensors..
