Default Leather trim for A/C relocation to lower console

Decided to upgrade to the PCCM+ and am ordering the necessary parts to relocate the HVAC controls. Our car has a (sort of piecemeal?) extended Savannah Beige leather interior which included a leather covered surround for the HVAC controls. Has anyone had any luck in being able to buy a leather-covered trim piece for the lower HVAC installation? At first, Sunset thought they could order one for apx. 250 from Germany but the part number didn't match what I thought it should and when I wrote back, he said that was actually for the HVAC faceplate (?) and the trim ring wasn't available in leather.

I've seen photos of the lower HVAC surround in leather so I know it's possible, but maybe just can't get anymore? It's obviously not a huge deal, but just thought it would look cool to retain that detail.

Thanks!

Default The look I'm going for..

For reference, this is the look I'm going for with the HVAC surround.

Very timely post. I'm searching for this same thing. I have a car with full space grey leather, except the lower HVAC trim ring is missing, and some other pieces like the batwing are torn. I bought a replacement dashboard as mine had been painted black on top. So I'm thinking of using the bottom half leather to recover the pieces I'm missing. Might be a cheaper route to go than buying new.

That's a great idea.. I wonder how hard it would be to repurpose that leather?

I'll let you know what I find out. The back trim piece by the rear window would also be a good donor, and cheaper than a full dash. It might also be thinner leather.
