I put Girodisc rotors on the targa. Be aware that the rears are about a pound heavier than the stockers. The extra swept area is still nice, and they look good too.
Annnnd just like that my deployment is extended out to March so the list will be a tad bit longer for next year. In addition to the small things I have listed above, a Cargraphic Super Sound exhaust will replace the Fisters I have now. I rode in a .1 with a Fabspeed and it sounded so much smoother than mine, a little higher pitch but zero drone inside the car. One thing I'm pretty excited for exterior-wise is a GT3RS bumper, seems pretty wasteful to buy one considering I already have an Aero bumper but man... it looks pretty cool and there's a plan to maybe create a stencil for the top vents now that I have a real bumper for reference. Kinda wanted to cut the slit out of the radiator openings and give it the CSR look but we'll see, the bumper isn't cheap.
Next thing that was on my mind was the race seat. The Sabelt will definitely work however I've lost 20lbs these last 4 months and 45lbs since I bought the Sparco Carbon XL, mostly in my hips/legs. My buddy had a set of Sparco QRT-R seats in his shop and surprisingly my fat *** fit in them... snugly but I fit and that was 20lbs ago. I measured myself recently the way the Sparco rep recommended:
Lay on your side and put a book or something flat on the opposite hip, then measure from the floor to the outside of the book and that's a rough measurement.
I measured at 13.5"(2" off my last measurement... pretty proud of that actually) which had me looking at other seats. Think I'll end up with a Recaro ABE(15.3"), I'm not tall at 5'9" so I believe a harness will fall over my shoulders correctly. There's a shop semi local to me that has some and once I get off this floating prison of shame, I'll see if I indeed fit. Spent most of a day looking at seat dims for popular seats and I envy the skinny people because most of the seats I liked were definitely smaller.
Really really need to get the calipers rebuilt, the seals are toast and the grommets on the lines disintegrated during the suspension install. Depending on how many cars I have to detail when I get home, just might do the rebuild myself. Miami winters make for good detailing weather but having an air conditioned garage is very nice for paint correction. Ideally the car would be on QuickJacks for a week. Should probably get new rear tires and swap the RE's onto the OZs and make the TEs my new daily wheels or rebuild the Gemballas... so many options for wheels.
Today is my 4 year anniversary owning the car, crazy to see how far she's come and so thankful I found the exact options I was looking for. Extremely grateful for the whole experience and would like to do more track events and driving activities. Think she'll be 95% done next year when the E88s are built, waiting for the last face now. Only other thing the car would probably get would be new headlights and the biggest ticket item in a Slakker 4.1 but we're talking a long ways out for that.
Just bought my rear caliper rebuild kit from @Ohio Performance . Kinda like how he sourced his new kits and they r offering a 10% discount. Hopefully my front caliper kit will get stocked soon. Email communication was very quick as was shipping.

Ended up getting the full piston rebuild kit for the fronts and the seals for the rear via Ohio Performance with the link provided by DeJeeper. Also got a set for my 18Z Brembo upgrade for my Audi S4... need to stop buying cars that need full brake work. Haven't done a caliper rebuild since Auto Tech school and I have all the required tools for the build, gives me a chance to do the annual brake fluid swap as well a full hardware refresh.
The other update is I ordered the Cargraphic Super Sound exhaust from Flat6 Motorsports, they've been good to me in the past and the FVD is providing the install kit. At this point I assume everything is corroded or needs to be replaced. The kit comes with all new clamps, nuts/bolts, and gaskets. I have no idea what cross pipe is in there... don't think I've ever looked, good time to inspect it. Feel pretty confident I'll get most of my 2025 list done before I redeploy in the June/July timeframe.
Sadly I need to work on my other cars too. The VW is getting:
The Audi:
Full suspension refresh
Full brake refresh + Brembo 18z fronts and B7 Rotor kit in the rear
MaxxECU install
My ADD is strong so I'll have to prioritize the cars with the VW being first, she's my daily. Porsche requires the least amount of work(surprised for sure) and the Audi is 25yrs old, the suspension is the one it rolled off the assembly line with.
Shoot- I could have thrown a little bottle in the kit - I stopped putting the dropper bottles in about 4 years ago - USPS...
I only use caliper assembly fluid on the piston and never anything on the dust boot! Keep that nice and clean!
On the 18z sometimes they are a little finicky if they have been painted incorrectly. If you have any trouble, get a q-tip and wet it with hairspray. Use that q-tip to wet the outer part of the dust boot and it will then pop right in saving your fingers a lot of pain.
What do u recommend for piston lube. Some choices on the internet but its hard to figure out whats correct. I see brembo has a product in single use servings. Maybe u can carry a product like that and u can sell/ship with the piston kits?
You're reading my mind! Frenkit does have their own single serving bags they put in their non-performance kits. I plan on including them in the future if at all possible!

No worries at all, I can get the brembo lube pretty easily and thanks for the tips! I dont plan on painting the 18zs so hopefully they wont be too much trouble.

I got a couple tubes from a reseller on eBay, here's the part number 04.2954.51
I've been looking for sound clips of the Cargraphic Super Sound exhaust and haven't really heard many but heard an open valve vid and it sounded amazing. My car has a 200CEL X pipe with a set of Fisters, she sounds great above 5k rpm but pretty quiet under that. Since she's the 2nd or 3rd car, I don't mind the extra noise but definitely looking to avoid drone inside the cabin. I noticed the X pipe options are either cat'd or uncut'd, is there just a resonated X pipe? Cargraphic sells a 100CEL X pipe and I guess it's the closest what I'm looking for.
