These are the RoW M030 bars for the targa. I got bushings at the same time. As close as I can tell the new front bar is 24.0mm, up from the factory installed 23.5mm bar. The rear bar is 20.9mm, up from 19.8mm (according to PET). I think the cab and targa got slightly larger diameters due to being heavier than the coupe.

Welp my next deployment is already set so my year is planned out. Right now I’m working with Simon at RPM Technik to get an invoice next week and start production on a CSR exhaust. The expected build time is 8 weeks. Pretty excited. I might do the mod that Aaron did on GT3-Ish or do this.
This dude is Porschekeven on IG. The lower section is from a 986 Boxster which looks good but unfortunately he didn’t mold it in and that’s why it looks kinda rigged. Ideally I’ll order the 996 GT3 RS bumper so both the front snd rear bumpers get painted at the same time.
RPM doesn’t offer the lower valence anymore and this photo was taken from a Goggle search.

I currently have Agency Power Headers + Fister D + 200CEL X pipe right now.
It’ll be the only one on our side of the world and it’ll sound amazing.

Another random update. Went ahead and ordered the Works Bell short hub, Works Bell QD and the only Manthey part I could afford… the shifter. JHP supplied the hub and LN ordered the shifter. Figured if I’m going to change out the shifter ends, it would be a good time to fiddle with the shifter itself.
Working with RPM Technik can be frustrating, still waiting for an invoice to get the project going. Apparently they posted on IG that there will be no more CSR ducktails made… pretty sad.

Let's not forget, these cars are 20 years old now, the first CSR ducktail was released nine years ago, and maybe closer to ten. Whilst RPMT have no doubt sold a good few 996 ducktails in the intervening years, I imagine that orders for them have slowed considerably since 2020. Part of that will be the pandemic, and part will be because they've become so ubiquitous, having one no longer ensures your car will stand out from the crowd.
Simon told me 18 months ago that the 997 ducktail tooling was incapable of producing components with the brake light aperture due to wear and tear, and the cost of producing a new tool was prohibitive and thus not financially viable. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the same scenario applies to the 996 tooling.
Which brings us onto the company that produces the ducktails for RPMT. They're heavily involved in manufacturing components for F1 teams, and when I spoke to them about producing some carbon fibre components 3 years ago, they were incredibly arrogant, dismissive and basically said that if I had a new project it would be 12 months before they could even look at it.
I've since found several other companies that are far more pleasant to deal with, and not beholden to F1. For the record, when and F1 team tells a supplier to "jump", the supplier simply asks "how high ?"
And finally ... the RPM Technik of 5-7 years ago has morphed into something altogether very different these days. Over the past 5-6 years they've dramatically increased the car sales side of the business, and since they became a Manthey approved agent, they appear to have, if not "abandoned" the CSR ethos (which let's not forget was always going to be limited to 50 cars) then they've certainly put them on the back burner whilst they carry out Manthey conversions on 981 & 718 Cayman GT4's, 991.1, 991.2 and 992 GT3's and GT3 RS's, all of which are tried and tested, and I suspect are available from stock at a moments notice, and the margins on supplying and fitting them will be "handsome".
They've also branched out into other conversions, such as undertaking "Touring" conversions on 991 and 992 GT3's cars (both adding rear seats and deleting rear wings)
This "Touring" rear seat conversion cost just over $20,000. ... As I said, they've "moved on" in a lot of ways ...

https://rpmtechnik.co.uk/porsche-sal...ng-conversion/
https://rpmtechnik.co.uk/blog/911-gt...-seat-install/
From a business/profit perspective, which would you rather deal with, the likes of Porsche by way of Manthey, or a backstreet supplier who says your order isn't particularly important because the F1 season starts in a couple of months time, and thus it will be 12-16 weeks before they produce the order for you ?
I think one of the Rennlisters on the 997 forum ? ordered a CSR ducktail, and when it arrived the finish was sub-optimal, he complained, but communication was poor (as you've found out, your contact at RPMT doesn't rush, I know, I too have asked for quotes, and they took weeks to appear ...) I can't remember what the outcome was, but it wasn't particularly satisfactory, and ended by RPMT saying that in future they wouldn't be shipping their carbon fibre components outside of the UK ...
All the above is by way of an explanation, they (the company) appear to have "moved on", to bigger and better (for which read more profitable and easier) things.
On the plus side, as I've said before, I know the individual who fabricates their exhausts, and rest assured, you're in good hands The end result should be superb.

I’m not against trying new things. The install with the Shift Right kit is pretty easy. All your points are valid about RPM, just wish they were quicker especially since it’s going to take 8 weeks or so and I’ll be using a freight forwarding service.

My guess is the sub-contractor that fabricates exhausts for RPMT will be busy, and has most likely quoted a month to six weeks to produce it. RPMT will be covering their a**es, and hence have quoted you eight weeks.

4 weeks to go and no response from RPM sooooo I’ll just move on to other things, reengage Simon at another time or at the end of the year. I have a crap ton of things I’d like to get done now anyway. With that said, I am getting the Cargraphic airlift like I mentioned waaay back in this thread. Micheal @ Cargraphic is confirming the kit as I type and they’re in stock so no waiting.
Dedicated some time to research how exactly the kit inflates the bags. The kit comes with 2 airbags, air hoses, air hose cutting tool, wiring loom, control box and an anti spin lanyard. Only thing that isn’t included is the air compressor that Porsche makes.
https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...OMPRESSOR.html
According to the instructions the kit is plug and play. The control box is essentially a receiver, you can use the provided fob or hardwire to a switch. The fob is just a two button transmitter, one button to air up and the other button to air out. The kit claims it’s a 3hr install and it’ll lift the car about 2.2”. The system will air out past 30mph.
Ordered a Rennline carbon airbox, they’re currently backordered. Since I have to remove the airbox to swap the engine mounts… might as well put something pretty in its place.

Thanks for the tip on the Rennline CF Airbox, I had not seen that.
