Help idenitifying 2-wire connector
It looks like the label on the connector is:
16 300 and GHW.1
However, googling for that did not yield any relevant results.
The two connectors are located close to the dashboard speakers, and seem to originate from the doors, so I hope they might be for the non-working door speakers?

That connector is traditionally used for speakers on every VW, Audi, Porsche car for the last 30+ years. If the dash speakers don't have any wires going to them I think it's safe to assume that you have found the reason why they don't work.

@theprf Thank you for your feedback.
The dash speakers are connected and working, but not door speakers.
The connectors in the image is located right next to the dash speakers, seem to originate from the door, but the wires are way too short to reach the car stereo.
It might be remnant from the original dash speakers (replaced by some previous owner). That is a bit strange, as I expect this cable to go directly towards the stereo, not towards the door. It might be for the door speakers, but that is also strange as the cables are just ~ 30 cm. measured from the window frame.
🤔

On some VW's the door speakers are daisy chained from the dash speakers. In other words the amp goes to the dash speaker, then there is a second plug on the dash speaker that feeds the door speaker via a short wire just like the one in your picture.
One different VW's there is a splitter in the wiring harness that has sockets for the plug like you have, and also for the dash speaker.

I removed the connector and found out that the part number is: 191906231A, and is produced by VW/Audio, as mentioned by @theprf
However, daisy chaining the associated wires with the ones in my dash did not fix sound from my door speakers, so I probably have do remove the door panels to figure it out?
The connector is also discussed here:

There may be no speakers in your doors anymore? What we used to do was to take a AA battery and use a bit of wire to touch the battery to the terminals of the plug - just for an instant. If there is a speaker attached you'll hear a little "click" from the speaker.
