I bought my 99 C2 used and according to the dealer's records, the RMS was replaced at around 25K miles in September 2001. The car has 42K on it now with no problems.

2004 C2 with 7,000 miles = no leaks yet.
A friend just bought a 1999 C2 with 35,000 and the dealer who sold it to him replaced the RMS just before selling it.
I would love to see this broken out by model year. I wonder if it is some supplier problem like it was with the E46 M3.

Ignacio, what exactly is this info useful for?
To me, and even though your poll is not scientific enough to get you a statistically significant result, I don't see a problem with the RMS.
Yes the RMS does leak on some models for a few reasons.
1. The crank can be out of round, which would result in engine replacement.
2. The RMS itself can be faulty.
3. In some cases it is not the RMS that is leaking but the intermediate seal, and if a mechanic did not know to check for that, he could replace the RMS till the cows come home, and you would still have the leak.
I've never heard of Porsche standing behind their model. I myself have had repairs done to my C2 when the warranty had expired.
Yes I have had an RMS leak, but they fixed it and that was the end of it.
The only people that I have seen with issues, serious issues with their RMS, are ones that have been very aggressive on this board. Which leads me to think that there is something else going on.
Scouser, as an example has had 4 RMS leaks? And DaveMo was so pissed off with the 2 RMS leaks he had on his Boxster that he went out and bought a 996. And with Carlos from Spain, it doesn't even sound like he purchased his car from an Autorized Porsche dealer. We have tons of independents here too that buy and sell new cars, but they are not authorized dealers. Now there isnt anything wrong with that, but dont expect to get the same level or service, or concern from a dealer in those situations.

RMS fixed as 7500 volentarily by dealer while they were fixing a break fluid resivoir leak. I had not noticed any RMS leak or oil level change. Will
