Help! While repairing leaking windshield washer reservoir (leaking pump) in my 2000 996 Cabriolet, I disconnected the battery, and now my CR-220 (Becker) radio thinks it was stolen. I pressed TP and recovered Serial No. Y5021121. Can anyone suggest the security code necessary to bring it back to life? Also, the low windshield washer light that tipped me off to the leak refuses to extinguish when I refilled the reservoir with NAPA "good to 20 below" blue fluid. Suggestions (other than fashioning a dime-sized piece of electric tape to put over the light)? John
DBJoe996: Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I looked everywhere for the code, was not with the manual or written elsewhere. Yes, I disconnected and reconnected the sender plug at least four times during the suggested “smoke test” before reinstalling the reservoir (which had a leaky headlight washer pump), the removal and reinstall of which bordered on torture.
