Default Picked up a PTS 2002 996 C4S

Hi all, my son and I have been looking at a C4S outside of Knoxville for a few years. It sat in a parking garage, and finally a few weeks ago, I placed a note under the wiper. The owner called me and named a price, to which we agreed, and we drove down last week to pick it up. It was pretty dirty and needed a good car wash down in Clinton, TN. We changed the oil before we left (DT40) and added the LNE magnetic drain plug. We need to do some work on the hood as it has a number of paint chips, and a nasty dent from the inside out.

The color is Zenith Blue, and not offered as a standard color in 2002. The interior still needs some work and we would like to repaint the center console, replace the shift boot and ****, and also look for a new driver's seat and a rear seat bottom for the backseat. Looks to have a leather dash and leather door panels.

Take a look at pics. IMS has not been done, so that will be on the list, along with water pump and a look at the AOS, RMS and maintenance items.

This beauty has 102k miles. Thanks for looking!

We used some polish to get most of this residue off paint.

I was going to say, don't think I've seen a 996.2 in Zenith Blue yet. Looking great!

Congrats. That's a beautiful color. I have the identical ding in my hood.

Nice find in a great color!

I believe all C4S came with the full leather interior (doors and dash).

You might also look into motor mounts. “Saggy” exhausts tips is a sign that they are due for replacement.

Can't wait till my son is old enough to do stuff like this with him. Congrats on the find and enjoy every minute of fixing her up!

Gorgeous! You're going to need to PM me about how to refresh/repaint the interior. I have a Graphite Grey one also and I've redone my interior and it looks fantastic!

Good luck on your new ride!

Very nice!

My car has a super minor blemish similar to that on the frunk lid. I always wondered what it was/how it got there.

Woodman, I'm guessing someone left a tool or something on battery cover and tried to close the frunk. BTW, there were jumper cables in the backseat when I saw the car a couple weeks before buying it...
