Over the past few months, my son and I have replaced the coolant tank (not fun), water pump, thermostat (low temp), various hoses and clamps, motor mounts and the LCD display for the climate control. Also factory wipers. We've tidied up the dirty car a lot. Little by little, it is becoming a more wonderful car. We have the two rear wheels out for straightening right now- hopefully that resolves rear shake at 80+ mph.

Yesterday, we replaced the console, shift ****, horseshoe trim, and emergency brake handle. All from a 2000 Cab (about 30k miles.) The console was shorter than ours, so we had to use our gray leather trim at the very back. See pic. Really happy with the outcome. We replaced a bunch of switches that were sticky as the parts we bought from junkyard had switches installed.

This car is a blast and worth every penny we have invested!

Hmmm... IMO The black console/glove box cover looks like it doesn’t belong. Get some leather dye and do it in gray or do the little rear piece in black (personally, I’d do the big black piece gray)... In addition, the black plastic center console would look great in body color paint... 😃👍

Thanks DPorto- we are on the lookout for black pieces to correct the rear of the console. Funny you mention the body color paint. I bought three cans of spray from three different manufacturers, in order to match the exterior color for the snap-in roof rail pieces that were in bad shape. All of the colors were a bit off, and due to the faded paint, I could not get a good match. Now the rail pieces are darker that the roof color. Oh well, I should have left it alone. Lesson learned! We might go down that path with the center console at some point in the future. Just had the rear wheels straightened by Allow Wheel Specialists, and wow- big difference!

Welcome to the C4S family!
I love that color

Im not a big fan of grey interiors, so I think that black touches break a bit all the grey and they look great IMO.

Do you still need rear back seats? I have some that are in good condition. Let me know.

BTW these guys have great paint - https://www.automotivetouchup.com/ch.../buypaint.aspx

These guys have great dyes for interior (you don't have to find black pieces - just dye the ones you've got)
