I keep looking at cars with the GT3 console delete, I really like the clean look.
i don't really use the storage cubby for anything other than coins older than me and my work badge.
None at all. I'm pretty tall (6'6") and this made it more comfortable (I can now turn right without hitting my knee, interior feels bigger), and better looking. Who uses CD holders anyway? I moved the seat heaters to spaces in the shift console.
I've done a lot on maintenance, but this was my one functional/cosmetic mod, and the one I appreciate the most.
One thing I have been thinking about is if I wanted to add the new porsche retro headunit for car play, where would I put the climate control at? I really wish Porsche would have incorporated into the touch screen to control it.

You can’t do a console delete if you have a double DIN head unit and want to keep access to the climate control. Unless you set it in automatic at your favorite temperature, then you could stick it behind the delete kit. Or you might be able to mount it to the carpet below the head unit; it’s not very deep.
The only thing is I could not mouth the rennline phone mount....otherwise I love it.
This is really the only downside for me as well. I love the extra room for my knee. I think it looks better too. Reminds me more of the dashes from the previous generations of 911's. Once I work out another solution for my phone, I'll be 100% happy with my console delete

you just have to Have a creative mind. That was a first thought but I doubt it’ll work due to the modules behind the delete panel. Second thought was to build it into the armrest cubby. Like you mentioned, it’s not something you constantly use to adjust.
My phone mount solution uses a RAM mount and is shown below. I also considered just mounting the ball directly to the carpet on the delete kit, but I usually don’t want to see my phone when I’m driving the 996, so this works better for me.
No phone mount. RAM ball mounted to spare trim piece.
