Default Glovebox Issue

I have been slowly repairing little issues on my GT2 and the next one to tackle is the glovebox. It seems to be missing the two dampers and the clips are broke on the door part. Has anyone done this yet? I thought maybe there was a video of someone doing it and could possibly tell me what parts I will be needing or if there is a kit? The previous owner told me this was a common problem to see them broken like this. Picture is attached of the situation now.

You'll need 2 dampers and 2 of the clips that snap onto them. The clips are cheap, but the dampers are not. You'll take the glovebox door off first to get access to the screws holding the upper liner in place. Pretty easy.

That is what I suspected based on my research. I found the damper clips in a handful of places for a couple dollars each but I can't find any place that sells even the OEM dampers. I see the part number is 99655277900.

Once I get the parts, is there a video or thread about how to remove the glovebox areas that I need to do? I peeked but didn't want to start taking apart things that I don't need to.

I could walk you through it, but its pretty straight forward. You would figure it out pretty quick. Take out the screws on the hinge first. Then the the box comes offf. Undo all teh screws around teh perimeter of teh top liner and it comes off. Easy.

And there are used ones around. There are some on ebay. The ones for the 997 will work too. But will be $50 each minimum.

Thank you for all of the info jim010 ! I got everything apart like you said easily. Was about the take off the top liner of the open glovebox and see that I need a torx size that I do not have here so I'm come to a stop for now. I feel like once I remove that top liner, it will be pretty clear how to replace the dampers.

So the 997 Dampers do work on the 996 glove box? I didn't realize part number 99755248401 is interchangeable with 99655277900. Has anyone else tried this?

Well I got everything out pretty easily based on the directions found here. Removing Glovebox door first was essential to making this go smoother and that was easily done by removing the 2 allen head screws on each hinge from underneath.

And I get the dampers out to find out I'm only missing 2 pieces piece on one and the other one just needed to be put back together and works great! Anyone know of a fix for the missing black rubber stopper and the white plastic peice holding it on as seen in the pictures below?
