btw when I was in there I also lubed the cables with the grease by pushing the shifter all the way back and lubing the to fro adn then working it to fro, and the same for sticking in in R and then lubing and moving around. The cable deal I means is the spring loaded cover for the threaded recepticle which the threaded cables go into-

Another tip is that I lubed the left side of the white reverse arm with grease and moved in and out, it made it much smoother also-

The "mistakes" you made are the typical ones, so welcome to the club. That is why we made the DVD. We were thinking of contacting B&M to see if they wanted to include the DVD in the box but they would probably tell us how great their printed instructions are - when their instructions do not tell you to mark the cables. Yeah I bet so those directions sucked, another thing is that they didn't talk about the R clasp exclusion either, but the porsche one is more of a supplement than anything in comparison!

Jeff,

Is the grease that you used the one with the kit or is there another type to use? Hopefully, I'll get your disk today or tomorrow so that I can put it in this weekend. And then my X74's were sent out today from Gert.........Zowee! Can't wait!

In the kit is a little gray tube of lubriplate Made in the U.S.A. grease.

Makes you go fast.

yeah it's full race grease good for 5 hp!
