Has anyone replaced a Vertex ball joint in their LCA?
So, I got 2 new ball joints from Vertex for their LCA’s with the replaceable joints. It looks simple enough - they actually thread into arm at the usual place. The problem is that the grease boot seems to be in the way, and there are no instructions either with the joints or on their website? Wondering if anyone has done them, and if the boot has to come off? TIA

The boot must be removed for the installation. After it’s installed the boot is placed back onto the ball joint. Feel free to call us with any additional questions. We have free tech support. 305.442.2727 Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out! That's sort of what I figured...If this is the case though, why do you guys even install the boot? All it does is may the installation more difficult. Why wouldn't you just ship it separate with the wire and grease in the box (like they do with CV joints)?
