Hi,Got Carrera 4 year 2000. I found that right front headlamp

not working at all ,no indicators, no lights and also cluster all backlight not

working as well(can not see current mileage)Remote key does not working too. Checked fuses, they

seems to me all ok,Do you think it could be a faulty light switch or headlight control unit ecu??Please help with advice, thanks

 

Check all the fuses?

 

I'd be willing the bet the headlight not working is either:

1. The bracket holding the connector is cracked
2. The wiring inside the housing is old and cracked

On my car the bracket was cracked so when you slid the headlight unit into the car it wasn't making the connection on the back of the housing. I also have suspect wiring inside the housing--it's not causing a problem yet, but it probably will at some point.

Pull the headlight out of the car and you'll see what I mean.

 

checked them all ...all ok

 

If all the connections are ok, the netting to check are:
1- what type of light are they? If Litronics, could be ballast
2 - all grounds at the light
3 - light switch

 

all sorted , connection problem with bracket and plug, Thanks all for advice!
