Nope. You may not get all the fluid out of the abs but youll be fine.

You should be fine without it. I don't think there is that much in the ABS/PSM system to worry about. Durametric claims to be able to activate the ABS pump for bleeding but people here have said it doesn't work. I have one but haven't tried it for that. I just bleed the brakes normally every other year. I don't track my car. But on another note, get a Durametric if you plan to keep your car.

Now I bought this bleeder a while back for another car. It comes with pastic adapters to connect clean fluid tank to reservoir. The connector just drops into the hole. It will keep the container vertical but it’s not air tight. Does it need to or will the magic of nature keep the fluid from pouring out.

Now for abs and psm, what psi do I set the compressor to. Instructions say 90-120. Now with Porsche there is always some exception, that pressure seem to high.

I use that bleeder often on jeeps. I dont use the fill bottle. I just fill it as it goes down. I set my regulator around 100psi. Also dont be surprised to see bubbles in the line. It will pull air through the bleader threads.

For the porsche i use a pressure bleader. I think it works better since we have bleaders on the inside and outside of the caliper.

That is many times higher than the recommended psi of 15 to 20 psi.

The vacuum style bleeder he has needs shop air pressure. The pressure bleeding units with the hand pump are 15-20psi.

Durametric won't run the ABS or PSM pump. They say it will but it won't. Apparently older Durametric software versions used to work but a few years ago they updated the software and it lost the capability. Myself and others have been round and round with them on this issue and they won't provide any help. I am thinking maybe there was some sort of legal action between them and Porsche/Bosch b/c I have talked w/ them about it and they are very tight lipped about it.

Easiest way to flush this circuit is go out and "exercise" the PSM and ABS on a racetrack or parking lot, then bleed again. Or have a shop who has the Porsche OEM scanner ($$$) run it for you.

Thanks Guys. So I guess I can forget about using my durametric.
But can I still bleed my brakes what have ABS and PSM or should I send off to do. I'd hate to pay someone something I can do without to much risk? Not sure what pressure to use.

Your vacuum bleeder pressue has nothing to do with pressurizing the system. It uses the psi to create the vacuum. Hook it up and pull fluid through it. Its really that simple.
