Default Had my wheels powder coated.

I just got back from taking it out for a cruise and snapped a few pics. I am happy with how they came out, I was worried because I've never done anything other than silver or anthracite type colors. The color is called goldtastic and it has a clear and I applied Opti-Coat Pro+ to them. The faces of the wheels were actually in excellent shape but the barrels were toast, didn't even come clean with mechanical abrasion.

Whoa...WOW! Now that is bold. Not sure if I like it but if you do more power to you.

I like it! Gold and blue is really sweet together, plus the saddle interior is the icing on the cake. Having said that, I must now confess that I have the identical Ocean Blue cabriolet with saddle interior, and the Sport Design wheels painted gold, so my opinion is biased.

Not my cup of tea but not my car. If you like it that's all that matters!

However, I did go to Cal and that's my school's colors.

Go Bears! LOL!

Thanks guys, I realize its not for everyone, especially in the Porsche community. I just couldn't bring myself to go basic silver!

At risk of offending people, it reminds me of the great Subaru color combo and I think that's no bad thing! I've been contemplating a similar thing with the winter wheels for my DD (Interlagos blue BMW) so I'm totally on board with what you've done here.

Awesome stuff.

ETA: Just went back and noticed how you aligned the center caps. Well done

I have always liked the world rally blue and gold wheels on the STI, I think its really a classic look for those cars. Thanks, I actually noticed in the one picture I hadn't aligned the caps and I was waiting for someone to call me out but they are all aligned on the car!

When the caps are aligned it produces an aura when photographed at high noon on the 1st day of spring. Little known Porsche fact.

Those look great! I’m thinking of having my turbo twists powder coated in a titanium gray. How did you get your center caps to match the powder coat?

They were able to do it, not sure how but it was around $70 to mask and paint them or about half that to just paint over the entire cap.

I like it! Nice work! I was debating on gold for my Red 951 or bronze on my GT Silver 981. Hmmm.......
