Close-up post fix, crack clearly visible.
From underneath. Looks like a metal zip tie securing it. Sorry for picture quality.

I gave my indy full discretion to change the entire sill after he got a better look from underneath, he went with the fix as shown above instead.

If you really don't want to replace the rocker cover, you should at least do a proper fix - it was nice of the "indie" to do what he did, but it's pretty "ghetto" if you ask me. I would replace the part, but at the very least, the rocker needs to be removed and repaired from the inside with a proper adhesive for the type of plastic the part is made of (there will be an identifier somewhere on the part). If you like to DIY it shouldn't be difficult - if not, just buy the part...

And if you have to get that close to really notice it...that's a good call....keep those 100+ dollars for something else
