Default $30 phone mount bluetooth

After seeing all the threads on Bluetooth and phone mounts, I ended up with a simple and working suggestion. When compared to my jeep with an alpine factory over 600 watts and iPhone integration, this solution sounds 90% as good.

Here is what it looks like. Bluetooth, charging, plays USB's, built in mic for phone calls. RF.

For the mount, I used a rubber stopper, slightly ground flat on edges. Fits tightly in cubby. Glued magnetic mount to rubber stopper.

Was on many bumpy roads, doing 90 degree turns with no stop signs. This didn't move.

What exactly do you have your phone mounted to? Can you take a pic of it without the phone on it? I never saw a phone in that location.

I've got that same bluetooth plug-in.

I can't give the same 90% good review. Not sure about the area that you are in, but in a dense metro area, it is fairly useless. Constantly having to switch FM channels with varying signals around town. It charges just fine though which is something useful, but as an actual FM modulator it kind of sucks IMO.

I paired mine with the rennline mount. It mounts on the passenger side and is out of the way of the driver. It also is not very noticeable when there is no phone placed on it.

Interesting comment on your experience. I am in Toronto which is flooded with radio stations. I never seem to have a problem. I don’t ever change the frequency. I too wanted the rennline mount. $40 for delivery to Canada.

So, I went to Lowe’s, bought a rubber stopper. I had a magnetic mount which I attached to the rubber stopper. I flattened the edges of the stopper just for a nicer fit.

I have a magnetic mount that i glued to the top of my dash. It allows me to use my phone as a GPS without really taking my eyes off the road since it's up high. Works well with my Bluetooth stereo as well. Cost maybe $25 or so.

I picked up one of these from Walmart for my 996, lot less bulky, has two charging ports and works great! Only issue seems to be if the phone is sitting in the little storage compartment under the radio, it gets some weird feedback in the output.
