Default Door latch replacement

Hi everyone,

Im trying to gather all the parts I need to replace both door latch and inside/outside handle microswitches on my Carrera C4S 02'.
Both doors are giving me a hard time.
Right now the left door is going down when I pull the outside handle but go up as soon as I open the door.
I have to hold the inside handle, and release it as soon as I close the door to close it when Im inside the vehicule.
To get out I usually roll the window down and use my key to lock the car which raise the window back up.

Im now looking for parts and came across theses on ebay.
I was looking at the VW replacement units instead of the genuine Porsche and I know you have to swap the latch from the Porsche unit or atleast modify the ones on the VW units.
But the ones I found seems to have the correct latch...
What do you think? Would you give it a try?

This is what both VW and Porsche door latchs looks like.

I also would like to confirm theses numbers for the inside/outside microswitches:

Inside handle microswitch: 996.613.123.00 (Same both sides)
Outside handle microswitch: 996.613.125.00 (Left) / 996.613.126.00 (Right)

Thanks
Hugo

I have a simple recommendation - buy the OE Porsche door latch and don't look back. Mine went wonky a couple of months ago. My car is now 21 years old, so the drivers side door latch has seen a lot of use. I figure that a new OE Porsche door latch will last another 20 some years and it is a painful job to replace. You will be working in the blind with one hand (left hand if the drivers door) and you will think to yourself "I never want to do this again".

I agree with Joe. If your window drops using the inside and outside handles, your micro switches are okay. The symptom you describe where the window goes back up with the door open is a classic symptom of a faulty door latch.
