Body Shop In L.A.?
I posted last week about my car getting smashed up. Needs a new door and they can bend out the rear quarter-panel (it'll be tough, but they can do it). Estimate is $4k plus alignment plus a re-chrome on my rear wheel.
I called the head of PCNA LA, and he recommended Brace's in Venice. Went by, got an estimate, fine. They're like an old house that fixes Porsche in their backyard, but apparently they do amazing work.
Problem is that I've called them 3 times now, and they have not answered or called me back. It's getting me nervous, and I'm thinking of utilizing another establishment.
Does anyone know of a great bodyshop on the Westside that does Porsche stuff? I have used M2 in the past, but they're more of an assembly line. I'll use them if that's a last resort, but I'm looking for real artists that care about my car as much as I do.
Suggestions?

sounds exactly the same damage as mine but mine was much more, that estimate sounds way off. DO NOT rebend that rear quarter panel, get a new one. Golden hammer did my car replaced right door, rear quarter, and rear bumper. YOu cannot tell anything was done period.

Sean - I was told by a few peoople not to replace the quarter panel. Apparently the unibody frame means that the quarter panel is a part of the structure of the vehicle, and that it would never be as stiff if I had a new one welded in. Thoughts?
But I have heard of Golden Hammer, did you like the experience of dealing with them?

If it is done right I wouldn't have the concern. I understand the argument but a couple of things need to be considered, the effectiveness of a bent back piece v. a new perfect piece, and what effect that piece will have in conjunction with the frame. YOU WILL need to have the frame checked and most probably tweeked to make sure it's perfect. I am not a big body filler fan either anyways, and bodywork to that extent is not my deal.
