Default Spare tire replacement

So I needed the spare yesterday, and turns out there was a good bit of dry rot. I am trying to replace the rubber on the rim. Looking at the continental CST replacements, the 105/95 r17 are not an option. does anyone know if these sizes will fit the rims. this is what is available from tire rack. I am thinking the 125/70 or 125/80 will be my best choice. Looks like the 125s are made for the 3.5 inch rims

I have a 99 c2 996

17

I tried going down this path and found that good used was the only way to go. Don't forget there isn't much space in the frunk and the plastic trim basically fits around the existing size perfectly. You might be able to get some more width but not height. Then however you might have the problem of not being able to use the mounting/retaining rod.

Yeah me too, if you can find someone driving from Michigan to SC, I would give it to them, no charge.

Call the dealer and ask how much a replacement tire is. Might not be that expensive.
