problem w/ radio
Just bought a 2003 C2...the PPI indicated a problem w/ the radio. It turned on, but there was no audio. Dealership was to correct the problem.
After taking possession, radio worked for a brief period of time (maybe 20 minutes). Next time I turned it on, no audio (although display and buttons work).
Blown fuse? Something else?
Thanks!

There are two fuses - one in the fuse panel and one on the back of the radio chassis. You can check, verify and replace them. However, if they keep blowing, you probably have a short somewhere that needs to be sorted out.

Burning Brakes
Try one or both of these. These radios can be glitchy with weak batteries.
B)With car running, turn off radio. Turn off car. Lock car with key fob. Wait 5 minutes. Unlock car. Start car. Turn on radio.
C)disconnect negative battery terminal. Wait 5 minutes. Reconnect.
P.S. get a Bentley Manual.

You have the CDR-23? In 2003, Porsche moved to a fiber optic digital system using MOST. I've read there are very problematic, especially in the first years they were implemented. Many people end up having to take the car to Porsche for initialization (reset) with a PIWIS system.

It's a Porsche radio, and I assume it's original to the car.

Once I entered the radio model into the search, I found all the threads of other people having the same problem. I've tried all the varied "solutions", but none of them have worked for me thus far.
I really don't think it's a bad amp; I had audio immediately after taking possession, even though the radio was behaving oddly. It seems as though these radios are just extremely glitchy.
