Default Durametric software version

Does anybody know if version 6.0 is the only one which will allow activating fans etc?

If you have the Durametric cable, or access to one, it just makes sense to get the latest version since the download is free. I don't know specifically if V 6.0 activates the fans, but the latest version does.

I have the Durametric Pro with the most recent, or one of the most recent, version of the software. I know it turns the fans on and off, because I have done it while playing around with it.

Thanks for the replies. I have a 1st generation cable which doesn't work with ver 6.x so I guess I am going to have to upgrade if I want the activations. ( or borrow my brother's gen 2 cable, problem is he lives 1200 miles away!)

I would contact the Durametric folks and see if they will make you a deal upgrading your cable.

Second this. I upgraded from the enthusiast to the Pro and they gave me full credit for the enthusiast.

I replaced an older version that stopped working with the current for reduced price.
