My bad RSBro, I just pulled my invoice and I got 295/30/18 & 225/40/18 Mich PS2s. Sorry for the incorrect info.

I hope the wet traction is better than in the past. I have had two accidents in 34 years both on Eagle GTs in the rain.

Thanks for clarifying! I think that's what I'm going to go with next, I don't assume they will be much different (not worse anyway) than the PS2s.

Now I remember why I checked them off my list previously, in that nobody is 'out of stock' on that size, they just don't make them. I'll stick to the PS2s! Thanks for the input!

That is the same thing that I did - I’m running the Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS all-season. Stock sizes - 225 front 265 rear. So far I’m very happy with them - put about 3,000 miles on them. Quiet running and very good wet and dry traction. Got stuck driving in a fresh 3” snow and they worked fine, not that I would normally do that.
The other reason to go with all season is the tread life will be better than pure summer tires. But - I’m not driving my car on a track - so ultimate performance was not critical to me. As a point of reference our VW GTI came with the same tires from the factory; they now have 35,000 miles and still have a ton of tread left. That car gets driven every day rain, shine or snow and it was fine.

I have is they tend to be noisy when cold, especially as they wear down. What's your personal experience with them?
I run them on my C2 street and occasional track days and autocross.

The biggest surprize for me was wet weather traction,

^^^ this is at a WGI HPDE in the rain, my first time driving at high speeds on a wet surface. They worked pretty good, not as good as a set of $1700 tires I would think, but good for the money.

On a dry track, their grip matches my ability, PCA HPDA yellow run group.
As I learn to get more out of the car on every type of corner, they gently let me know where their limit is as the car rotates.

If you use a tire with a lot of grip on a track, the "OH, S##T", moment does not give you very much warning. Something you should be aware of if you are tracking and learning with your 996.

12,000 miles on the front, the 295 rears, I replaced at 8000 miles.

My alignment is just about spec and tire wear is very even.

They get flat spots after a week if not driving, they smooth out after 10 or so miles.

Why does Tire Rack put the PS2 and PS4S in the same category? I’m sort of miffed. I️ bought Regular PS’s two years ago in the OE 18” size for my C2 and neither tire was made in that size then. Now they are both cheaper than what the PS’s were.

I'm surprised not one mention of Falken tires. On my second set for my C2 and love them. Tons of grip and decent life, good price point for street driving.

If you read reviews, make sure you are reading the Evo2 reviews. The original Ventus V12 Evo suffered from sidewall stiffness issues that were corrected with the Evo2.
Me too, these have been really good.
