Your link goes to the all-season version of that tire. I assume that is what you bought. I have several sets of G-Force Comp-2s (the summer tire). I would never allow myself to get caught in snow with them. Because that's exactly what would happen...

i bought my 03 c4s mid March 2019 with 2015 SUMITOMO HTR ZIII on it. car was only driven 750 miles/year on average for the 11 years before i acquired it so i assume they had approximately 3,000 miles on them. i've put another 3,000 on them in 2 months, including 2 track days. i just had my car to an indy for window regulator and he inspected the tires and said i wasnt even close to needing new rubber. as was stated above they are basically 1/2 price compared to other available tires and when they are finally ready to be replaced (i'm guessing next summer after i switch back from upcoming winter tires) i will put a new set of HTR ZIII on and save $ for other maintenance items.

No. the tires are 2015, but i know the car was only driven 8k miles in total the 11 years prior to me buying it in 2019 so i just assume 750/year and thus 3k miles on the tires since 2015. estimating they now have slightly over 6k miles on them

I did indeed buy the all-season tire. Figured its cheap insurance since theres no guaranties I wont get caught in a crazy down pour and ive seen too many buddies wreck in heavy rain on “ultra high performance summer” rubber

I'm STILL running Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2's - this is my 3rd set. I have found no reason to not continue buying them. They do get a little greasy when really hot, but otherwise they're awesome affordable UHP summer tires.

If you read reviews, make sure you are reading the Evo2 reviews. The original Ventus V12 Evo suffered from sidewall stiffness issues that were corrected with the Evo2.

You may want to check out Tire Rack. You can put your parameters in and it will come up with suggestions. Also, they have a feedback section By previous buyers FWIW. Btw, someone mentioned Sumis, IMHO they are el cheap o tires in terms of road noise and wear, and I am not talking about on track use.

I've run 3 sets of Sumitomos and lots of GT3 guys run them as street tires. I have pushed them hard, and haven't had a problem. The only complaint
I have is they tend to be noisy when cold, especially as they wear down. What's your personal experience with them?

For summer and dry grip nothing beats the Pilot Sport Cup 2
The Pilot Sport 4S is not far off and definitely the better all-rounder. Amazing wet grip also when cold.
I personally like the Yokohama Advan Neova AD08r although it has a W speed rating instead of Y.

From the standard N-rated 18inch I prefer the Bridgestone S02a over the Michelin Pilot Sport 2. I like the firm ride and more direct feedback of the Bridgestones. At higher speeds the 18inch PS2 become a bit vague. Strangely enough its 19inch version behaves way better.

Loud, and wear incredibly fast. Rears with about 5500 street miles. I don't drive it like I ain't got a dime in it, but I do drive it like Porsche intended.

I think I've looked this up before, but do the Michelin PS4S' fit a C4S? Neither Discount Tire or Tire Rack show they do, but instead the Pilot Sport PS2 and Sport Cup 2...
Discount Tire can get them within a few days if not in stock. I got really good service from DT off I-45 in South Montgomery County across the street from Molly's Pub. I hit a pothole that cut my rear tire so they kept my car in an empty bay while we waited for the tires.

I think I know which DT you're talking about. My wife had her car always serviced at the DT in Shenandoah, they do pretty good. I just had always looked at the 4S, it's just strange that they don't pull up as an option for the 996.2 C4S on their site or Tire Rack.

There is no 295/30R18 PS4S. If you want stock tire sizes (and there are good reasons for this, as the AWD system depends on it) that ends the conversation about the PS4S on the C4S. I have made this $1500 mistake before.

On my second set of Sumi's on my C4S. First set, rears lastest about 20k miles over 4 years. Fronts still had tread, but decided to replace all four. For street work, these are hard to beat.
