Default What is your favorite setup for removing and reinstalling the transmission on 6MT 996

I've done it a few times, and every time the installation is a pain in the neck.

It eventually works out, but is often a hassle - lots of wrestling to get things lined up properly. Getting the transmission input shaft properly aligned with the splines on the clutch seems to be the biggest issue.

The last time I did this, I used a Harbor Freight 1000lb hydraulic lift table, with a harbor freight transmission scissor lift (with casters removed), car on a 4 post lift with the engine supported by a home made engine support bar (backed up by a pair of threaded post stands, placed after the picture below).

What setup works for you? Any tips or tricks?

(Please ignore the mess/pile of parts in the background...)
