is this a mercedes part?!! (i think it's the MAF?)

The connector is made by Amp/Tyco electronics and it does have a Mercedes logo on it. Other electrical connectors have BMW and VW and Audi logos. In 5 years of working on Boxsters and 996s I have never seen a Porsche logo on a connector.

The air flow sensor is made by Bosch.

FYI, the A96/50 automatic gearbox for all TTs and Carreras from MY2002 onwards is a modified Mercedes-Benz unit as well.

ohh you remind me, a guy lives in my neighbourhood has a padmini with a supra 1JZ engine .... man ... i always get scared to race with him !

Khaled i just saw the modded starlet with the scariest engine sound almost doing a wheelie next to me,,, I was scared too!
