So I think your designer opinion is worthless to me.
As a designer/996 owner, he was responding to your inquiry of what did people think of your cars' side stripe job. You got an honest knowledgeable opinion

I'd be interested to see in Designer Job Description that says,If Opinion not asked for, don't give it."

I also work with a lot of Contractors and some Designers we have on staff, For most of them it's getting the design right for the requirements given.
Everybody lives by Time is money. Redoing it is more money. scraping the original design is wasted money when an opinion could have helped.

Someone offers another opinion, I look at it as constructive criticism along with their knowledge of the subject at hand.

Less is more.

that's coming from a guy with a 996 targa w/aerokit and Gt3 wing. 😁in my defense I do have a stock rear deck lid I swap back and forth.

Is that left tailpipe pointing outward or that the camera angle?

This place isn’t really fun anymore. I’ll just keep my business myself.
I really like the way it looks and to the general non-Porsche public it makes no difference.
I get plenty of compliments.
I still post here and visit but I won’t ever open myself up for the keyboard studs to write for whatever reason they do.
I do the best with what I have and what I know.
The car looks much more exciting to me now than when it was just a stretch of less than thrilling side profile.

The guy is all proud of his car and posts some photos of it and people crap all over it and your response is "I don't get why you are getting so mad...". If you wouldn't say it to him in person at a car show, then don't post it. Its pretty easy to just keep scrolling.

Maybe it's just the angle, but your right exhaust tip looks canted too. Just sayin'...

Your probably right about the tip. When I installed them the drivers side was not tight enough. It moved and I could feel a slight wiggle.
Just waiting for some time to do it. I’ve been working 55 hours a weeks the past three weeks.
Yesterday was the first time I was able to take the car for a ride in three weeks.

You guys are being a bit harsh.

I ordered my decals from China. They aren't exactly what I expected, but I paid for them, so...

I think Comic Sans or maybe Papyrus would have been a better font choice.

Wow you guys are brutal. Whether I like it or not, I do enjoy seeing fellow 996 owners make the car “theirs”. Expect praise AND criticism. Comes with the territory around these parts and I for one don’t fault either. Good on ya OP for separating yours from the pack.

1. Hats off to you on lining that carrera decal up
2. Personally, I think that the decal reminds me of the 60's 911's and as long as you like it, its fine by me. I don't think i could pull it off with my 5 Spoke Carreras it does suit the twists nicely.

As long as you like the car do what makes you happy, Whenever I go to an autocross event I put little Xs over the lowbeam lights cause it looks funny, I'm sure that I get plenty of odd looks but I could care less.
