Progress pictures of the exterior lots of pictures.
I installed my Carrera decals last week. Not an easy job for s perfectionist. I got it done perfectly. After installing wall covering for 35 years (wallpaper hanger) I felt I was up for the challenge. Two hour job including prep.
I washed the car then used a clay bar to remove any contaminants. Made it super smooth. I followed the directions to the letter.
If you’ll notice the tail pipes Also installed factory dual outlet tips when’s Input my Fister exhaust on. I love that look. As of right now now wing is planned. I think they are cheesy for a street car. While that comment may **** some people of. This is about my car though. I like the simple smooth flow of the rear. I think the tacos make the 996 look like just that. A car with a taco on the back. I’m all set with tacos.
so after a long winter here is my progress. I’ll even sneak an interior picture in too.

Sorry but that "Carrera" decal just ruins the car (for me) but, I do like the rest!

As a designer, that door decal just makes me cringe
The typeface height is so much, the 'a' is kind of messed up and the scale/proportion is simply so off that it looks like a bad imitation. I would reconsider placing either a striped 'PORSCHE' on the door or a smaller Carrera designation that comes on the modern cars.

The taco was not available from Porsche on a cab so you bought the right car...

The only side script that actual works as in looks good on a 996 is the Porsche thin double stripe. But none of really work out for 993 or newer. They just don't look right. That font on yours is all messed up, it looks like a cartoon.

This comes to me as a surprise. I post images of what I have done ro my car not really looking for opinions. I did it the way I like it. To have people post and do nothing but criticize is kind of insulting. That’s ok I am thick skinned.
It only tells me the that some people are here for that reason alone.
i mean I got one guy telling me he doesn’t like my decal when he rebuilt his engine the wrong way and blew it up. I was not critical of that and I am still not.
Regardless of what you write I like it and that’s what matters to me. In fact I have received many compliments from people who ha e seen my car around here is public.
Despite your criticism I love my car and I think it brings a touch of old school with old new school.
And as far as tacos go, why would I want to ride around with a taco stick to the back of my car. Talk about looks like a kid did it. Taco...... yea right Ingot to get me one of those. Lol

As a designer that doesn’t mean your opinion was asked. So if you are a professional you would already know that if your opinion is not asked it should not be given.
Im a contractor and I work with designers all the time. For them time is money.
So I think your designer opinion is worthless to me.

You posted pictures of your vehicle and modifications you made to it in a public forum. In doing so, you're going to get responses from the public. You clearly did an excellent job installing the graphic on the car, but the fact remains that you chose a decal that was poorly designed and does not match the car.
If you like it, then it doesn't matter what we think, it's your car.

I dont get why you are getting so mad about people giving you their honest opinion. First, because if you publish your results in a forum is for open discussion and second, because, so far, I think people has talked to you very friendly and even giving their opinion in the best way they think they can help
As has been said, your installation work looks good, but the decal is just totally wrong. I dont know what the people close to you have said, but if they have ever seen a "Carrera" decal before, and they are honest with you and try to help, the best advice would be, "that is not the correct one"
But, again, its your car, and if you like it, that is

Honest Opinion _ It's your car
But when I first saw it I thought something didn't look right, Font, Script, Placement. Something Cheesy as you say.
As a perfectionist, I would have expected to take a look at other cars and gotten an idea of what is considered correct font, Script, placement
I'm all for mixing old with new if done right like your C4S rear bumper. I'm ok with it. I publish pic's of things I do to my Car , some people don't like it. That's OK It's my car. I'll do what I like. So should you.
Your side stripes I just don't think looked right. I take it you got them from an ebay or other secondary vendor that Porsche is suing for copyright infringement
example
Yours needs a little edge off the bottom door line approx 1-2" up
