Well, hanging them will likely increase the odds of them being replaced...

Get it all out of the way in one stop. Looking good.

One question: is your indy following any of the pre-qualification that FSI recommend prior to the installation of the Solution? E.g. inspecting the bores, sump and oil filter?

Why did he need to discombobulate the rear suspension like that just to remove the engine?

I know he did deviation and a few other things, including collecting oil. I'll ask about the sump.

Just confirmed with indy. Pan was removed and all was inspected before resealing.

BTW, quoted price was $3,500 before extras like plugs / coils / etc.

Included were all fluids, IMS and RMS. I even gave him 2 gallons of uncut coolant, which he said he would deduct.

I'll give a wrap up when he is done tomorrow. Overall so far I would recommend John.

PS - I even saw a supercharged 996 he did 8 years ago. Yikes!

As others have said, get those calipers supported with some zip ties. It hurts to look at them like that.

That's great. Hope they cut open the oil filter and inspected that, as well.

Looks like they're doing a good job. Now you need to have them replace the rear brake hoses....

Sigh...

I just sent him a note asking him to support them before he installs anything else, fearing that a good jolt could damage the lines.

His response just now:
They arent hanging on the lines. If you looked, you would have seen that I had a second black wire holding the weight.

He must be getting tired of me. Lol

Just blame it on us. If he visits Rennlist - he'll understand.
