That makes me laugh. As I came up to 250,000 miles on my VW I wanted to make sure to get a pic. So I was watching it closely and at 249,998 I made a mental note to get ready with the phone...next thing I know, its sitting at 250,006 -- and I swear I didn't even go that far. Still bugs me to this day
Lol, me too. A few years ago I was on the way to Monterey car week with a buddy in the M5 and when we stopped in Morro Bay for the night I said, "don't forget to remind me to take a pic of the odometer at 300k tomorrow".
The next day we were on 101 outside of King City when he took a call from work on speakerphone. He worked for Rolls Royce at the time and an issue had come up where they needed to check the mileage on a particular car. As soon as the words "check mileage" were spoken, we both looked at each other and went "OH SH*T!".
Thanks JTT. I feel so much better, and seeing kilometers not miles doesn’t matter. Even 100001 would’ve been OK with its digital-like symmetry. But 100002? Meh.
