Default What's this sound? 99' 996 Porsche 911 Coupe

This sound just appeared.

It is not present on a cold start nor does it appear if the engine warms up just idling.

Driving the car for 3-4 miles in town and the sound appears and persists. Most pronounced right rear area. I'm thinking fan belt squeak? Changes with engine RPM but not consistently.

Weird sound 1999' Porsche 996

Thanks for any help!

Sounds like a pulley. Remove the belt and try to turn everything by hand - water pump, alternator, and all pulleys and tensioners.

Could be a loose spark plug.

Sounds just like the loose plug noise I had a couple of weeks ago, so +2 on that one.
