Default Check out that rack??

Hi Guys , looking for a bit of advice with the behaviour of my steering
So up to now I've replaced inner and outer track rods , had all the alignment done aswel
So basically on normal road my steering feels ok , reactive with a slight bit of weight in the feel
When I get on the motorway however things change , the steering goes really light and almost feels like there is play in the wheel and I have some vibration , need to get the front wheel balance checked but what about the lightness and play feeling , I'm thinking the rack can't be anything else can it ??

Maybe your toe settings are too neutral. A little more aggressive toe might help (only to the maximum specifications allowed, or just below). Vibration is probably wheel balance.

Thanks Joe I'll ask them to check when I get the front wheels re balanced , can racks be a problem do you know? If there is play can it be adjusted, my friend had a vw beetle with play in the rack and there was an adjustment to take out the slack , a nut with a lock ring on the rack , anything on these to adjust ?? Or is it a rebuild on the rack??
