Default Broken headlight base

Looks like my drivers side headlight base is broken. The tab that retains the plug snapped. I can plug in headlight then slide it into place but not sure how this will hold up long term.

Is there a write up on replacing the headlight base? Is it even worth it?

rearward bolts are corroded on both sides. Might as well source replacements lol

Yep happened to me awhile back on one of my Cayennes ... No big deal .... I was going to get one on ebay and was surprised to find out thru Porsche that that light bracket tray was something like a $100 new so i picked it up new and it took me about an hour to do ... Takes more time positioning the grommets on and under the tray than actually installing.

Lowpew's base doesn't have the yellow clip, but it looks like the clip from your broken tray is attached to your plug. You will need to remove it from the plug and transfer it to the the new tray. The yellow clip slides up and latches the plug to the base.

I had one tray that was missing the yellow clip. I bought a used tray off eBay fairly inexpensively. When I replaced the old tray, I just unscrewed the large thin nuts off the stands and swapped the trays out. It didn't take long to do.
