I am going to echo 22-25k depending on how long you have to wait. I picked mine, 99 non-aero, up a month ago and it is a little rough around the edges and I paid 17.5k, I also have an LSD and lower mileage. I factored in all the work that has been done to your car into what I was willing to offer for mine.

Hey Hex, I look at probably 10 listings a day (every day - kind of addicted), and your car is a bit of a conundrum. Early 996’s are rather en vogue right now and many are fans of the aero cars. More importantly, people seem really drawn to cars that aren’t black or silver or grey. The car linked below is nothing special other than being an early .1 with a lot of leather options and an interesting color combo but it is clean with good history and has low miles. It just sold for $28k (+ 5% buyers premium)!

if I were you, I’d detail the heck out of it, take a bunch of great photos, include a thorough (and well thought out) description and list it for $26k — and not take a dime less than $24k. In the short term, I see your car rising in value as the maladies that initially allowed these cars to drop in market price are being diminished— the M96 now having fixes in the aftermarket segment and styling that seems to be becoming more attractive as time goes on. My $.02.

As the owner of an Arena Red Aerokit, I think your car is worth $32k!

Pretty unique and beautiful car, so you never know what will happen with the right buyer or if you wait until spring to list.

Now that is interesting - what are your sources?

a car with a factory aero kit adds about $5k to the non-aero kit valued car.

Seeing this a few months late. The last time I ran this exercise, I pulled listing prices from: AutoTrader, Cars.com, Rennlist classifieds, PCA classifieds, and Craigslist. Again these represent the ask, not the bid.

Updating this thread -

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1999-porsche-911-33/

Many chimed in on price being closer to 30 than to 20, but the results still had some ways to go to meet reserve.

If anyone's looking for a top notch 996 - it's available:

Sold mine (blk 99 aero, everything done. 81k
miles) on BaT 3 months ago for $25k. Really surprised yours didn’t go at least that high. It’s a great looking car.
