Default Cool product - Mac’s Track Mat

I have Mac’s tiedown bits on my car trailer, and they send me email ads periodically. Recently I got one for a track mat, and picked it up. It’s a pretty simple idea - a closed cell foam mat that folds and has a carpet like surface on the “up” side. I’m always looking for something to lay on for a quick project whether it is at home or on the road. Most of the time I can find a piece if cardboard, foam sheet or plastic that will do the job. This thing is the grownup version of that idea.

It came in handy today when I swapped LED bulbs into the fogs on my land cruiser. I think it’ll come in handy for putting ratchet straps on the car when trailering and for any other job where a padded surface would be handy. Well worth checking out if you have the same kind of need.

I don’t have any affiliation, I just like to share products from small businesses that benefit us enthusiasts.

Here are some snapshots:

I have a similar track mat made by Longacre Racing. So nice to have at the track, and I use it in the garage all the time too. Longacre version is more of a smooth vinyl cover, but same idea.

Looks like the same product with a different logo. Cool. Wish that I’d known these were available years ago.

I use Dick’s sport cushions for same purpose. They’re $6.99 each, with different colors available.

Could you share a link?

I can only find small sport cushions at Dick's Sporting Goods.

These mats are something like 2'x4' when opened, for reference - large enough to lay on like a creeper. I've got small kneeling pads that I use for things like moving the arms on the lift, but the size of these is more useful for jobs where you are laying on the ground.

Those are the ones, cds. I love the utility and size of the track mats you mention, I just use the 2 cheap small ones when I’m not gonna use the creeper; plus, I don’t go to DE’s often enough to get as much use out of the track mat. But ya got me thinking about trying one out. Cheers!

That's a clever idea. I lay on the anti fatigue mats you can pick up at Home Depot and Lowes.
