Misfire when wet?

Wow, my c02 coils with 124K (might have been changed with no record) look new compared to those. I wonder how much winter road salt contributes to this?

I just proactively replaced mine at 70k miles and 19 years. The old ones were perfect.

The thing is this car lived it's life in Houston, TX from 2005 until late 2013 at which time it ended up around here. I bought it in 2014 and have not driven it in any of the subsequent winters. So unless previous owner drove it on the beach through shallow waves it shouldn't have seen much salt. My guess is SV is right a lot of heat cycles for plastic in 14+ years.

Burning Brakes
My car is an 04 C4S with 65k on the clock. I just replaced them all and plugs as preventative and they all were cracked. My car was from texas for the first few years them came to florida. Guess its just part of the 996 experience to have cracked coils
hope you upgraded to the new design as well.

I fixed the same issue by replacing the ignition coils.
https://www.warehouse33auto.com/cata...-Ignition.Coil Price $35.88 Each ( longer bolts included). You get 10% discount with the "RENNLIST "Code
The new Beru Coils are thicker, I used two old coil bolt to screw the protective plates on each side.
By the way, removing the bumper and exhaust makes the job easier but it is doable without.
Good DIY !
