Hi, I’ve not personally pulled that hose (which one is it, anyway?) but when I did a coolant drain, I had to slip a small screwdriver between the hard pipe and the rubber pipe and move it around the pipe to “break the seal.” Probably not the best idea due to potential scratching of the hard pipe, but it worked for me. Good luck.
This is the large coolant hose just below the coolant reservoir. The hard pipe goes to the radiator. you shouldn't have had to disconnect this section to drain your coolant.
It's just the rubber o-rings stuck. Spray some penetrate into the crevice and insert a screwdriver in between the metal housing and the metal "ring" of the rubber hose end. The rubber hose has a metal (steel)end made on the end with a large o-ring sealing to the inside of the aluminum housing.
Hi. Daniel. Why are you showing this? For those wanting to flush the coolant from their cars? Draining associated with swapping out a coolant expansion tank?
Spray the flange with WD40. Insert a flat head screw driver into the tiny gap between the flange and the metal pipe, and pry. Wiggle, and wiggle, and be prepared to get really wet.
Anyone happen to have the part number for that hose. The code is worn off on the hose and I'm having trouble finding which one it is on the various parts diagrams.
