I would love to know what Raby uses from the factory and what he discards as well as what he creates himself when "reconstructing" these motors.

It's all on his website. Most/all of his "upgrades" are to the internals of the engine. Nickies (cylinders), pistons, rings, connecting rods/bolts, timing chains. timing chain paddles, valve guides, head porting, (head work/valves etc. depends on type of build) head bolts, low temp thermostat, oil pump drive, etc... Ancillary items such as water pump, AOS, oil cooler, idler pulleys, coolant expansion tank etc. are all factory
