Porsche Sport Roll hoop/harness setup
Hey everyone <waves>
I was talking to my local service rep (a track nut also) who was teling me about putting the "Porsche Sport" roll hoop/harness setup in my 996. Gave me a price and it sounds like a good deal. Says it is a Porsche part. Anyone have this in their 996 and willing to give thoughts/impressions... also a photo per chance ?
Thank much all... love the forum...

There are a couple of Tequipment roll bars available. There should be some pics at the Porsche web site or try the Suncoast Porsche site. Another good roll bar is the DAS sport.

if you're not stuck on porsche only parts, take a look at brey-krause or the speedware harness bar for the 996. i have the speedware w/ sparco 5-pt, which can be used with stock seats. i think it's actually easier to install/remove than the tequipment peice.

The Tequipment Rollbar is a beautiful piece.I have it in my 02 996 and am very happy with the Stainless Steel look and that with the "sport " rollbar I can still use the back seats for something .I haven't yet come up with a good method of installing harnesses and would love to hear ideas.

I'll try and help. What kind of seats do you have? What specific issues have you encountered?
