Default Will these wheels fit?

I have a 2004 996 (C2 6-speed) that has solid-spoke turbo-twist wheels.

A friend has a set of hollow-spoke wheels that came off an earlier 996 - they have 993 part numbers. He has no use for them and is willing to sell them to me. Below are images taken of the spokes (front and rear).

My questions: Will these fit my 996? Will offset be an issue? What are they worth? Is this a good idea?

I have a set of 993 turbo twists on my 2002 996 and they work fine.

I also have a set of Porsche 993 wheels and YES, they will fit fine. These wheels were carried over from the Porsche 993 model and modified for various configurations and offsets (i.e. Boxster). The Porsche OEM hollow spokes wheels are rarer and in turn, cost a lot more... even on the used market. It's not uncommon to pay twice as much for a used set of hollow spokes over the standard Turbo Twists.

But it all boils down to the condition that your friend's wheel are in. Have they been tested? What is the finish like? Will they need to be repainted?

IMHO, the hollow spokes could be worth as much as $3,500 or as little as $500. Again, it all depends on the condition.

Here is a set that recently sold on ebay for $3,200.00
