Default Numeric shifter which hole setting did u use?

So the instructions say most people use the middle hole but it seams the throw is longer then the agency power short shift that was in the car before the swap. What setting have u guys used?

Middle, also have not tried the lowest. The middle seemed fitting and I didn't want to cut the carpet

I had started out with the lowest and changed it to middle.
The lowest setting takes a little more effort than I what I wanted for a daily driver.
I did not have to cut carpet as other threads have stated.
I like the shifter, but I am very unhappy with numeric cables.
The noise that resonates in the cabin from the cables is horrible. The worst modification I did on my car.

Did you end up installing the insulation around the cables? This wasn't really on my radar but good to know its not worth the NHV etc.

I wraped mine with the numeric silicon hose and i dont think there is any added noise. I get the mechanical clunck when i shift but no vibe, buzz or drone. I do have an extra length of the hose because i ordered 2 thinking i needed one for each cable but 1 length is good for both cables. I would flat rate the hose for $25 if anyone wants it.

Middle. I tried to use the shortest throw setting - but as was stated already - the effort wasn't worth it. I found it to be more precise in the middle.

I guess ill leave it in the middle since its seems to be the most benificial position. I have has some interest on the extra piece of hose and i have replied to the pm's.

I also was unhappy with the added noise from the numeric cables. i reached out to Dan at Numeric and he advised adding a rubber fuel hose over the cables at the exposed areas under the car. Also re positioned the cables to make sure they weren't resting on any under panels of the car. It made a huge difference. I would say still noiser than stock but definitely not objectionable. I also now have a lift which makes access 5 million times easier than when I installed it on jack stands in my old garage. After driving with this load noise for several years, its worth the effort to take another stab at fixing it!

Middle. Quick shift are for drag racing. Smooth, precise shifts are all you need in road racing.
