There are various reviews out there , I’ve had them for a couple years
the money difference between these and the ohlins allowed me to spring for h&r sway bars at both ends and use power flex bushes everywhere
i like that they are German made and rebuildable by anyone who can do bilsteins

tire rack tends to have the best prices but shop around , h&r have C4 versions

im an ohlins fan , my Ducatis have them but I have nothing but good to say about the h&r units
what ever you use , you may need to consider drop links and adjustable toe arms , I used tarrett

I got a set of JIC / ZMS, not very happy with them.
If you have to have coilovers I would get PSS10 with camber plates or a cheaper option would be the ROW M030.

If I would do it again I would do the ROW M030. Never tried it but seems like a good street option.
It's a very slippery slope to start add track stuff to your daily driver, I got a dedicated race car instead. Much better. But do occasionally take the 996 to the track, it's just so awesome.

Coming off of ROW 030 (installed new spring '17), I would choose my Ohlins over my ROW set up all day. That is, minus all my solid mounts. Just factory LCAs, top plates etc. It actually is just as comfortable, maybe even more so in some conditions, than the ROW set up. I'd just raise the car back up a bit.

What's your spring rate on those Ohlins?

It's the rates they come with when specified for 996 C2. I believe 375/650 or something like that. I will be switching to 400/700 next season (GT3 spec for the Ohlins).

That sounds very stiff for street? Or is this mostly for track ?

I daily my c2 with Ohlins R&T and in almost every circumstance it rides less harshly than the stock springs with worn out shocks. I think the rates are 340 lbs front and 680 rear. There are a lot of track guys who will say that is "too soft" but they have the luxury of rarely running on bumpy pavement. Stiffer springs isn't the whole story, ride quality heavily depends on the quality of damping, and the R&T are very good at what they were designed for. I wrote a review after I had mine on for some time and updated it later in the thread about a year later.

This summer we actually had a flight to a wedding in Canada canceled on us while en-route to the airport and we decided to just keep driving the 996 there all night instead of taking a 24+ hour delay. Didn't even hesitate, the suspension is so good at 10-12 clicks from full stiff that it's a non-factor in a decision like that. 12 years ago I had a stock R53 generation Mini Cooper S that I would have cringed to take on that same drive because it rode so stiff. I actually don't like running the dampers on the Ohlins any softer than 12 because it's almost too soft and comfy for my taste in a sports car, go figure
