Thanks charlie. What, if anything, can you tell me about Wright Motorsports in Batavia? A euro shop in cincy advised me to talk with them about the IMS issue. Thanks.
I've heard they're serious when it comes to Porsches - IE they build cup cars.
My personal experience with them is limited. When I was replacing my IMS bearing I was having trouble getting my clutch aligned properly with the cheap plastic tool that I got from Pelican. I emailed Wright to see if I could rent a metal alignment tool from them and I never got a response.
Anyway, based on what I've heard about them, they're more than capable of doing the IMS. Another place that I would definitely recommend speaking with is https://www.metalkraftcoachwerkes.com/ - they're in Mariemont and affiliated with Porsche of the Village. I've been to their shop a couple of times and the restoration projects they do are simply incredible. They also do IMS bearings and other maintenance. Super friendly staff that is happy to walk you through the shop and show you what they're working on + answer any questions.
Congratulations! I have a MY2000 Cab in the same color combo. The Forest Green Metallic looks completely different depending on the lighting conditions and I've never gotten tired of looking at it. It's a very cool paint but unfortunately it doesn't offer much protection from Mack Trucks. Ask me how I know.
